Mystic Tree is an international collaborative music project, based out of South Africa. The project is led by award-winning writer and poet, Pratish Mistry, together with experienced session artist and renowned performer, Alex Samuel.
The project started rather informally in 2013 in the startup equivalent of a garage, and has since grown steadily over the years. Mystic Tree has collaborated with a number of local South African and international artists from Cuba and Nigeria, all the way to India and the UK.
